Path2Commit, LLC ("Path2Commit," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our website and Service at path2commit.com (the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. This policy applies to all users of the Service, including athletes, parents, and administrators.

2. Data We Collect

Personal Information

  • Name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and gender
  • Billing address and account credentials
  • Profile photo and biographical information

Athletic Information

  • Sport, position, statistics, height, weight, graduation year
  • Highlight videos and athletic profile content you upload
  • School preference lists and recruiting goals

Academic Information

  • GPA, high school name, and academic profile details you provide

Financial Information

  • Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store credit card numbers or full payment card data on our servers. We receive only limited billing information (last 4 digits, card type, expiry) from Stripe for display purposes.

Automatically Collected Information

  • IP address, browser type, operating system, and device information
  • Pages visited, time spent on pages, and navigation patterns
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5)

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Service
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions
  • To facilitate athlete-coach matching and school recommendations
  • To send transactional emails (subscription confirmations, payment receipts)
  • To send service-related notifications and alerts
  • To analyze usage patterns and improve platform performance
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Data Sharing

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Stripe, Inc.: Payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
  • Google (Gmail integration): If you connect Gmail, we access your Gmail account solely to send emails on your behalf as directed by you. We do not read, store, or share your Gmail content beyond what is necessary for this feature.
  • Instagram / Twitter/X: If you connect these platforms, we publish content on your behalf as directed by you. We do not access your private messages or followers beyond what is required for the integration.
  • Law enforcement: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Path2Commit, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential cookies: Required for authentication and session management. Cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies: Used to understand how users interact with the Service. You may opt out through your browser settings or by contacting us.

Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or delete them. Disabling certain cookies may affect your ability to use parts of the Service.

6. Data Retention

  • Athlete data: Retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to facilitate re-registration.
  • Parent/subscription data: Retained while your subscription is active. After cancellation, data is retained for 30 days during which you may export your data, then deleted in accordance with our retention schedule.
  • Payment records: Retained as required by applicable law and accounting standards (typically 7 years).

7. Your Rights

You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us at privacy@path2commit.com. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.

You may also update most of your personal information directly through your account settings.

8. CCPA — California Residents

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to know: You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources from which we collected it, the business purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
  • Right to delete: You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to opt out: We do not sell personal information. However, if this practice changes, you will have the right to opt out.
  • Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

9. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users who are at least 13 but under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

If a parent or guardian believes their child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@path2commit.com and we will promptly delete that information.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit and encryption at rest for sensitive credentials. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
